Hey, at least gasoline is less than $2 a gallon!
I believe we need to open our eyes and hearts now!
Eyes open to searching for the truth- T.A.R.P. I & II probably were fraudulent acts from our elected officials...
President Obama will probably neglect the legal and moral issues of investigating the Bush/Cheney Administration's 8 years of anti-Constitutional, illegal activities...
Israel's genocidal atrocities of their economic blockade and assault of Gaza and the blatant apartheid-as-policy approach to the Middle East peace process...
The "War On Terror" that justifies illegal detentions and torture, immoral economic sanctions on a people who democratically elected a political party to power we did not approve of, unjustified aggression via pilotless drone bombing of villages and homes of a supposed ally and partner in the same "War On Terror"...
One is tempted to start with our strongest feelings and begin to speak up... yet real change starts in each of our hearts first!
I feel we ordinary Citizens of our troubled Nation are doomed to see this economic meltdown to fruition.
I have a crisis-of-confidence with our elected officials, sensing their allegiance to Wall Street and the Federal Reserve continues to obstruct any real attempt at solving our woes.
As ordinary Citizens, we must become extraordinary in helping our communities, neighbors and local banks and businesses! Washington is going to do what they think is best... for the "too-big-too-fail" multi-nationals.
This realistically does nothing for we ordinary Citizens.
But WE can effect change WE can believe in!
Buy your groceries from independent retailers... your produce from local growers... open an account with your local bank or credit union... donate your time and precious resources to your community- homeless shelters,
troubled youth or battered women's groups. Organize neighborhood "Barter markets"- a neighborhood landscaper needs his flat tire repaired and the town car repair establishment needs their lawn cut... do you get it?
Think and act locally to create a large base of cooperation and mutual respect! By example, we can lead our elected officials once again thus influencing Washington to lead with mutual respect, compassion, and appreciation for our worldly neighbors...
This is only the beginning...
